Description
Centrifugal pump is a pump that carries the liquid by the centrifugal force generated during the rotation of the impeller.
Basic construction
The basic structure of centrifugal pump is composed of eight parts: impeller, pump body, pump cover, retaining ring, pump shaft, bearing, seal ring, packing function and axial force balancing device.
1. The impeller is the core part of the centrifugal pump with high speed output force.
2. Pump body is also called the pump shell, it is the main body of the water pump. Support is fixed and connected to the bracket mounting the bearing.
3. The function of the pump shaft is to transfer the torque of the motor to the impeller by connecting the coupling with the motor, so it is the main part of transmitting the mechanical energy
4. Seal ring is also known as the leakage reduction ring.
5. The filling function is mainly composed of the filling material, preventing the water flow to flow into the pump outside or the outside air into the pump. Always maintain a vacuum in the water pump! When the pump shaft and the filling friction to produce heat to rely on the water seal pipe water injection into the water seal circle to make the filling cooling!
6. Axial force balancing device. During the operation of the centrifugal pump, because the liquid enters the impeller under low pressure and exits under high pressure, the pressure on both sides of the impeller is different, causing the axial thrust towards the inlet direction, which will cause the rotor axial movement and wear and vibration, so the axial thrust bearing shall be set to balance the axial force.

Centrifugal pumps can be widely used in electric power, metallurgy, coal, building materials and other industries to deliver a slurry containing solid particles.
